Restorative Justice
Barron County Restorative Justice Programs, Inc.:
Barron County Restorative JusticePrograms, Inc. is a private non-profit corporation designed to give victims, offenders, and
community members an opportunity to come together and solve social problems. They
offer programs such as, Victim Impact Panels, Teen Court, Victim Offender Conferencing,
Restorative Practices for School Communities and many more valuable resources.
Center for Restorative Justice & Peacemaking:
The Center for Restorative Justice and
Peacemaking is an International Resource Center that is designed to support Restorative
Justice Dialogue, Research and Training.
Restorative Justice Online:
Restorative Justice Online is a service of the Prison Fellowship
International Centre for Justice and Reconciliation. They offer a wide variety of resources to
help learn more about the healing process associated with Restorative Justice.
Restorative Justice and Circles- Kris Miner’s Blog:
Kris Miner, Executive Director of St.
Croix Valley Restorative Justice Program, has utilized her blog to share her knowledge of
Restorative Justice and Circle Keeping.
Victim Offender Mediation Association:
Victim Offender Mediation Association (VOMA)
provides resources, training, and technical assistance in victim-offender mediation,
conferencing, circles, and related restorative justice practices.
Victim Offender Reconciliation Program:
Victim Offender Reconciliation Program (VORP),
brings victims and offenders together to ensure that the offender takes responsibility for
their actions and make things right with the victim.
Minnesota Restorative Services Coalition (MRSC):
The MRSC web site offers regional
contacts in Minnesota, a listing of trainers in various restorative justice practices, a page on
ethical guidelines and principles for restorative justice practices.
School-Based Restorative Justice
CASEL:
CASEL is an organization that works to advance the science and evidence-based
practice of social and emotional learning. The organization writes books, articles, and
briefs that synthesize scientific advances and explain their implications for practice.
IIRP:
International Institute of Restorative Practices is a graduate school for the emerging
field of Restorative Practices. Restorative Practices allows people to rebuild relationships
within the community. The courses that are offered are designed to help to increase
communication and supply a healthy learning environment.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD):
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is an
organization that is dedicated to the prevention of impaired driving. Their main goal is
to aid victims of crimes caused by individuals driving under the influence and increase
awareness of the serious issue of drunk driving.
Teen Driving
AAA- Keys to Drive:
AAA has a full range of tools to help parents and teens throughout
the entire learning-to-drive process. Some of the tools include a driving knowledge quiz,
parent-teen driving agreement and sample driving questions.
Allstate:
Allstate has offered a wide variety of resources to aid teens and parents through
the driving process. They offer tips for parents, games, and a parent-teen driving
agreement.
Drug Courts
Allrise:
Allrise funds Drug Courts throughout the country. They believe that Drug Courts
are the answer to help people overcome addiction and give back to the community rather
than have them locked up.
National Drug Court Institute:
The NDCI is a branch of NADCP that offers a wide variety of
research, education and training for Drug Courts throughout the country.
Grief & Loss
Bereaved Parents of the USA:
Bereaved Parents of the USA is a non-profit organization
dedicated to helping parents who are trying to cope with the loss of a child. They also offer
a lot of valuable resources for siblings and grandparents to help aid in the grieving process
of someone who was taken from them far too soon.
Suicide
American Association of Suicidology:
The American Association of Suicidology is dedicated
to understand and prevent suicide. They offer a wide variety of research and facts about
suicide as well as ways to help people who are at risk.
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention:
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention has done a lot of research, educational campaigns, innovative demonstration
projects and critical policy work in an effort to prevent suicide. They also offer assistance to
people, whose lives have been affected by suicide.
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline:
The National Suicide Prevention Hotline offers a 24-
hour prevention hotline that is available to anyone at any time. The hotline will then direct
you to the nearest crisis center and assure that clients receive the proper help they need.
Suicide Awareness Voices of Education: Suicide Awareness Voices is an organization that is
dedicated to saving lives by giving the issue a voice. They believe that the issue of suicide is
something that needs to be addressed rather than silenced in order to help prevent it.
Suicide Prevention Resource Center - Wisconsin State Suicide Prevention Information:
The Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC) provides prevention support, training, and
resources to assist organizations and individuals to develop suicide prevention programs,
interventions and policies.
The JED Foundation – Preventing Suicide and Reducing Emotional Distress:
The JED foundation is dedicated to helping reduce and prevent the amount of suicides among
college students. They offer a great deal of resources for parents, students and campus
professional in order to help people at risk.
Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction:
The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction website offers a wide variety of tools and resources in suicide prevention,
mental health, alcohol abuse and many other health concerns.
